An interesting place to visit:
↳Okunoshima Island, Hiroshima Prefecture (several hours away from Tokyo), Japan.
- Once a site for the production of poison gas where rabbits were used as test subjects during WWII. When the war ended, the rabbits were freed by the factory workers and Okunoshima Island, or popularly known as Usagi Shima (Rabbit Island) now is an island completely overrun by feral but somewhat tame said animals. They were believed to be the direct descendants of the lab animals.
